Disney runs four main operations: media networks (ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel), parks and resorts (Disneyland, Walt Disney World), studio entertainment (films and TV from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm), and direct-to-consumer streaming (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+). It makes money from ads and affiliate fees, ticket sales and in-park spending, box office and licensing, and subscriptions to its streaming services. It stands out because it owns a large library of well-known brands and can pair content with experiences, merchandise, and cross-promotion across parks and media. Its goal is to entertain, inform, and inspire people worldwide by telling stories with technology and forming partnerships to grow its reach.

Disney's AI Cartoon Ozzy Fox sparks debate | robotic animation for kids (2026). Disney's New AI-Generated Cartoon Series: A Step Towards the Unknown Disney's recent collaboration with Animaj, a French-based AI-animation company, has sparked curiosity and concern among audiences. The release of Ozzy Fox, an animated musical series targeting young children, marks a significant shift in Disney's approach to content creation. With over 750,000 views in just two episodes, the series is a testament to the power of AI in the entertainment industry. The show's premise, centered around a family of anthropomorphic foxes, is designed to educate children on mundane tasks like using the bathroom and doing chores. While the educational aspect is commendable, the execution leaves much to be desired. The AI-generated visuals, characterized by their smooth, shiny, and sharp appearance, create a sense of artificiality that may distract from the intended learning experience. One of the most intriguing aspects of Ozzy Fox is the absence of numbers or letters in the background. This deliberate choice raises questions about the content's potential impact on children's cognitive development. Are Disney and Animaj prioritizing entertainment over educational value, or is there a deeper strategy at play? Animaj's pro-AI stance and integration of AI tools into their production pipeline further emphasize the studio's commitment to this technology. The company's LinkedIn page boasts about reaching over 240 million kids monthly, showcasing the potential reach and influence of AI-generated content. Disney's $1 billion deal with OpenAI and plans for user-generated AI-powered content further solidify their embrace of AI in the creative process. However, the use of AI in content creation is not without its challenges. The potential for AI to produce bland and uninspiring content, as observed in Ozzy Fox, raises concerns about the quality and authenticity of the final product. The absence of numbers or letters in the background, for instance, suggests a lack of attention to detail, which could impact the series' overall appeal. In my opinion, Disney's venture into AI-generated content is a double-edged sword. While it showcases the potential for innovative storytelling and educational content, it also highlights the risks associated with relying solely on AI. The challenge lies in finding a balance between embracing technological advancements and maintaining the integrity and quality of the content, especially when targeting young audiences. As the entertainment industry continues to evolve, it is crucial to critically evaluate the role of AI in content creation. The success or failure of Disney's AI-generated series will have significant implications for the future of media and entertainment, shaping the way we consume and interact with media, particularly among the younger generation. More themed solar-powered trash cans for World Nature and Pandora: World of AVATAR arrive at Walt Disney World. Themed solar-powered trash cans have arrived in EPCOT's World Nature and Pandora: World of AVATAR in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Latest videos. Solar-Powered trash cans in EPCOT's World Nature. Five new solar-powered trash and recycling bins have arrived in EPCOT's World Nature. The paired units have white fronts, each decorated with gray EPCOT logos. Each receptacle has black "TRASH" and "RECYCLE" openings. The outside panel of each bin is bright neon green. The new cans match the solar-powered design Disney has been installing across EPCOT since June. Our latest noted update was around the Test Track area last week. WDWNT first covered the debut of the solar-powered trash and recycling bins at EPCOT near World Showcase. EPCOT was the first of the Walt Disney World theme parks to receive these new receptacles. The rollout later reached more of World Showcase, including the Japan and Italy pavilions. Earlier this month, Disney also installed them in The Seas, The Land, and Soarin' areas of the park, along with World Celebration. Solar-Powered trash cans in Pandora: World of AVATAR. We spotted seven total new sets in Pandora: World of AVATAR in Disney's Animal Kingdom. The trash cans are gray, decorated with an orange stripe beneath the black receptacle "TRASH" and "RECYCLE" openings. The new cans match the solar-powered design Disney has been installing across Animal Kingdom since July. Our latest noted update was in the Asia area of the park and the Discovery Island Trails in August. Others were previously installed at the Maharajah Jungle Trek and at the front of the park. The solar panels on these new cans power a built-in trash compactor. Guests can open the lids by hand or by foot pedal. This has proven so confusing for some guests that Disney has released an instructional video to guide use. Solar panels built into the rounded tops power compactors inside, allowing the bins to hold more waste before they need to be emptied. The small handles on the front are for Cast Members to access the interior. Walt Disney World has been steadily adding these new solar-powered trash cans to the resort since June. Walt Disney Imagineering is involved in the design process so that they will resemble the older-style cans.

September 3, 2026 By Nik Roseveare The Walt Disney Company France and Groupe M6 have strengthened their longstanding collaboration with a new content agreement to bring some of France's most popular content to Disney+ This agreement will enable Disney+ to enhance its offering with some of the most-wtached French programmes, while allowing Groupe M6 to extend the reach of its content, particularly among 15 to 34-year-olds (a highly engaged audience on Disney+). Per the deal, an initial four M6 programmes will join Disney+: Scènes de ménages and En Famille will land on September 25th, followed in early 2027 by The Power: Qui a le pouvoir? and Mariés au premier regard. In total, several hundred episodes will gradually become available on the platform, enabling Groupe M6's programmes to broaden their audience and reach new viewers beyond linear TV, while strengthening Disney+'s unifying French entertainment offering. Karl Holmes, General Manager, Disney+ EMEA, commented: "M6 has created shows that audiences in France really love, and we're excited to bring some of those favourites to Disney+. With their strong appeal among younger viewers, it's a natural fit and means even more local shows for our customers to enjoy.
