Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related area or 15+ years of experience with OT and IT data, control systems, data historians, data analysis and system integration and interfacing.
  • Thorough knowledge of the OT and IT data space, including DCS systems, historians, LIMS systems, MES systems and ERP systems.
  • Background with the Purdue model, firewalls, and OT integration practices.
  • Hands-on experience with data exchange technologies like OPC and OPC UA and communication protocols like Kafka and MQTT highly desirable.
  • Understanding of IT data integration, data lakes and data warehouse technology, networking, cybersecurity and data analytics are required.
  • Experience with SQL, databases and scripting languages like LUA is a definite plus.
  • Experience with AI, BI and analytics technologies like Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks etc. highly desirable.
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in English language.
  • Ability to obtain a corporate AMEX and travel globally up to 60% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Enterprise Solution Consultants (ESCs) and/or Regional Solution Consultants (SCs) providing solution and services execution plans including large, combined solutions.
  • Confirm the scope, deliverables and timeline of all proposals in the responsibility areas and be accountable for their approval in SalesForce.
  • Design integrated solutions which will benefit the customer on the process issues at hand, as well being ready for scalability and sustainability.
  • Assist the sales organization and Services management team in preparing and delivering complex bids and proposals to our clients.
  • Support growth of the business in both in License and Services Bookings at all times.
  • Support project teams including our partners to ensure projects achieve stated milestones, delivery dates and financial goals.
  • Maintain and extend client satisfaction levels and develop opportunities for additional AspenTech solutions.
  • Work cooperatively with the AspenTech extended team in Sales, Support, CSM, R&D and Partners to ensure successful project delivery and completion.
  • Work with the Partner Group and be accountable for the technical assessment of all DSP applicants as well as accountability for the internal or extent deployment resources for services projects.
  • Be on the core team of new product launch within the related area of expertise.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience authoring bids, writing proposals and quoting projects.
  • Process industry experience (Refining, Chemicals, Pharm) a plus.
  • Experience with AspenTech IP21, Aveva PI or Inmation is a definite plus.
  • Experience with other AspenTech technologies (e.g. APC, SCM or GDOT) to ensure data integration and KPI presentation is a definite plus but not a requirement.
  • Other languages a definite asset but not a requirement.

Emerson Acquires AspenTech for $265/Share

Emerson has completed its acquisition of all outstanding shares of Aspen Technology, making AspenTech a wholly owned subsidiary. The acquisition followed a tender offer for $265 per share, with 72% of shares tendered. AspenTech's shares have ceased trading on NASDAQ. Antonio Pietri will retire as CEO, with Vincent M. Servello appointed as President. The transaction was advised by Goldman Sachs, Centerview Partners, and Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Emerson to Acquire AspenTech for $7.2B

Emerson has agreed to acquire the remaining shares of AspenTech that it does not already own for $265 per share, in a deal valued at $7.2 billion. Emerson currently holds approximately 57% of AspenTech's shares. Once the transaction is completed, AspenTech will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Emerson. The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2025.
