EarnUp is looking for a Lead QA Engineer who will own the QA function for our next-generation platform for consumer finance management. You will report to the Head of Engineering and help the team fulfill technical, operational, and business requirements. You will be responsible for the quality and delivery of software products. You bring a consistent track record for being a voice of quality and steering organizations towards continual improvement. This is a people manager role, but you are expected to be fairly hands on.

You Will

• Lead the QA function within the EarnUp product suite through each phase of the SDLC
• Lead testing for enterprise API suite, web applications, and internal customer tools
• Apply industry best practices and metrics to improve EarnUp products and processes
• Define automation strategy to drive code quality and coverage
• Gate-keep release candidates through environments and production deployments
• Engage with Product and Engineering to vet requirements and turn them into test plans
• Develop, maintain, and augment technical documentation
• Guide day to day scrum/agile technical and ceremonial activities

What You Bring

• 5+ years of demonstrated ability in leading quality assurance and release management projects
• 2+ years experience leading and mentoring remote/off-shore teams
• QA Experience in a CI/CD environment
• Familiarity with AWS and its service offerings
• Experience working in teams to develop and support production-quality tools and services to support engineering teams
• Knowledge of Javascript. Bonus: Python, SQL
• Technology experience with Selenium, Pytest, Jest
• Experience testing Web Frontend (DOM), REST API, JSON/RPC API (GQL a bonus),
• Familiar with secure coding practices
• Passionate about testing and automation
• Great verbal and written communication and collaboration skills. You should be able to articulate your approach/solution and impact of your work clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders throughout the company
• Experience with Compliance / SOC2 audits a plus

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 -$170,000
