- The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- ASE certifications are preferred, or the candidate must have a plan to achieve them.
- The candidate must be capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of vehicles.
- The candidate must meet or exceed hourly goals.
- The candidate must have an aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- The candidate must maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate strong communication.
- The candidate must be able to occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
- The candidate must be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head.
- The candidate must be able to work in tight spaces as required for vehicle repairs.
- The candidate must have the dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- The candidate must be able to walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
- The candidate must be able to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
- The candidate must be able to navigate a computer efficiently.
- Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
- Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the service department to communicate concerns effectively.
- Work with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
- A positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
- A desire for long-term career development.
