Requirements
  • At least 5 years of proven success in B2B software-as-a-service new business sales, with a demonstrable record of closing deals.
  • Generate a personal pipeline through outbound activity rather than relying on inbound leads.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through contract execution.
  • Run discovery calls and solution-based sales conversations that connect product capabilities to business outcomes.
  • Sell to small and medium-sized business and mid-market buyers, ideally owner-operators or operations managers who are primary decision-makers.
  • Use a customer relationship management system such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or an equivalent, while accurately logging activity and maintaining pipeline data.
  • Travel within the United Kingdom for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events, estimated at 20–30%.
  • Work autonomously in a remote-first environment while remaining self-motivated and goal-driven.
  • Communicate effectively, present solutions, and build professional relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close and customer handoff for the United Kingdom and Ireland markets.
  • Identify and engage prospective customers through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, trade shows, and industry associations.
  • Conduct discovery calls and on-site visits to understand garden centre and retailer workflows, pain points, and technology needs.
  • Deliver product demonstrations of RetailVista that articulate return on investment, efficiency gains, and revenue impact.
  • Manage proposals, negotiations, and contract execution to close new business.
  • Transition new customers to onboarding and support teams for activation and go-live.
  • Manage and grow the existing United Kingdom and Ireland customer base while building net-new pipeline with at least three times quarterly quota coverage.
  • Log activity, deal stages, and forecast data accurately in SaleMate or HubSpot.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline reviews, deal inspections, and forecast calls with leadership.
  • Use prospecting tools such as Apollo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to build targeted account lists by segment and geography.
  • Represent NedFox at United Kingdom trade shows, industry events, and buying group meetings.
  • Build relationships with industry associations, buying groups, and distribution partners to accelerate market access.
  • Provide structured market feedback to product and leadership on the competitive landscape, buyer needs, pricing sensitivity, and feature gaps.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience selling into garden centres, retail, pet industry, or adjacent verticals such as hospitality, food service, or specialty retail.
  • Experience with vertical market software or operationally complex environments where the buyer is a retailer or operator rather than a technology team.
  • Experience selling multi-module platforms covering point-of-sale, inventory, e-commerce, loyalty, and payments across multiple stakeholders or use cases.
  • Startup or scale-up experience building a sales motion rather than operating only an existing one.
  • Familiarity with modern sales tooling, including sequencing platforms, prospecting databases such as Apollo, Cognism, and ZoomInfo, and sales engagement tools.

Valsoft Corporation buys software companies that serve niche, mission-critical markets and grows them over the long term. It focuses on vertical market software in industries such as automotive and broadcasting, keeping the acquired companies independent while giving them access to Valsoft’s resources, best practices, and global network. The company improves operations, expands market reach, and builds value through a persistent “buy, hold forever” approach. This portfolio-driven model differentiates Valsoft from firms that flip assets, by emphasizing long-term stability, operational excellence, and close partnerships with existing management teams. The goal is to enhance performance, achieve steady growth for portfolio companies, and broaden their market footprint across industries.
