Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in eCommerce development, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead architect/engineering role.
  • Extensive experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento/Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, SAP Commerce Cloud).
  • Proficiency in backend development (Java, .NET, Python) and frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps tools.
  • Expertise in API design, microservices architecture, and RESTful web services.
  • Experience with data management tools, databases (SQL, NoSQL), and integration middleware (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi).
  • Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect, Adobe Certified Expert (Magento), or similar platform certifications.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an architecture strategy for the eCommerce platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, translating business goals into technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain architectural and technical documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Engage in full-stack development for the eCommerce platform, leveraging modern frameworks and languages (e.g., JavaScript, React, Node.js).
  • Build and optimize APIs and microservices for seamless data flow across internal systems (ERP, CRM, PIM, CMS).
  • Lead the development and integration of third-party tools and services, such as payment gateways, analytics platforms, and marketing automation tools.
  • Design and implement integrations with various enterprise systems and third-party applications, ensuring data consistency and availability.
  • Customize the platform to meet business needs, focusing on user experience, performance, and functionality.
  • Oversee API architecture, enabling modular, reusable integrations that enhance agility and adaptability.
  • Conduct performance testing, monitoring, and optimization to maintain high responsiveness and reliability of the platform.
  • Implement caching, load balancing, and other techniques to ensure platform scalability and performance.
  • Ensure security best practices, conducting regular vulnerability assessments and maintaining compliance with industry standards like PCI-DSS and GDPR.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for eCommerce applications, ensuring streamlined deployment and high-quality code.
  • Lead the setup and management of cloud environments, utilizing tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/Azure services.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with Product Management, UX/UI teams, Marketing, and Operations to align eCommerce architecture with business strategies.
  • Present technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for project scope and implementation.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and facilitate best practices in engineering and architecture.
