Astrome Technologies specializes in wireless telecom solutions to ease network congestion and improve 5G backhaul for network operators. Its flagship product, GigaMesh, delivers up to 80 Gbps per cell tower and enables rapid SDN deployment without fiber infrastructure. The system uses remotely reconfigurable software-defined capacity, electronically steered links for quick alignment, and fine pencil beams with encryption options for secure, reliable connections. Compared with competitors, Astrome delivers much higher per-tower capacity, avoids expensive fiber by using wireless links, and reduces operational costs through remote, software-driven reconfiguration and faster deployment. The company's goal is to help telecom operators expand network capacity and reach—especially in urban and rural areas—by providing scalable, high-capacity, cost-effective wireless backhaul solutions that alleviate congestion.

What believers are saying

  • IN-SPACe awarded Astrome Rs 5 crore on February 11, 2026 for SBaaS.
  • Astrome unveiled Made-in-India SDR platforms for UHF, S, X, and Ka-bands in August 2026.
  • Astrome sought Korean partners on February 26, 2026, widening defense and satellite channels.

What critics are saying

  • Astrome's revenue remains undisclosed, so customers, margins, and backlog stay opaque in 2026.
  • Dhruva Space and Azista share IN-SPACe SBaaS funding, limiting Astrome's program exclusivity.
  • If BSNL and defense procurement slip, Astrome's satcom pivot burns cash before scale.

What makes Astrome Technologies unique

  • GigaMesh replaces fiber with 30-minute E-band deployment and remote software reconfiguration.
  • Astrome serves Army, Navy, and BSNL, proving dual-use telecom and defense demand.
  • IN-SPACe picked Astrome in February 2026 for India's SBaaS satellite-bus program.
