Requirements

  • At least 5 years of poultry or protein manufacturing experience.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of plant sanitation procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Manage activities within the production process.
  • Plan and organize production schedules.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are met.
  • Help plan and implement new technology, automation, and other improvements.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Implement and control the production schedule.
  • Review and adjust the schedule where needed.
  • Determine staffing needs and manage human and material resources to meet production targets.
  • Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement.
  • Ensure the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Monitor product quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
  • Analyze production and quality control data to detect and correct problems.
  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports.
  • Monitor and review staff performance and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
