Requirements
  • Bachelor degree and 2 years insurance experience OR 6 years of insurance, marketing or sales support experience.
  • Knowledge of sales processing and underwriting concepts.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the new case submission process and review of sold case paperwork for completeness and accuracy in order to release the acceptance of risk for new business.
  • Responsible for providing front-end new group business sales activity, ensuring proper coordination with sales management, BCBS representatives, BCBS agency managers, brokers, and managing general agents, and other partners.
  • Responsible for resolving escalated issues, interacting with underwriting to mediate risk, and assist with projects, initiatives or process reviews.
  • Responsible for assessing risk and communicating findings with underwriting.
  • Setting up proper documentation and notifications to our reinsurers and the reinsurance department.
  • Responsible for acting as a liaison between marketing, underwriting and policy issue coders.
  • Verifying rates for accuracy with applicable commission levels and discounts, identifying sub types for commissions for specific products and knowing when to communicate with commissions to establish new sub-types.
  • Validating broker licensing and appointment.
  • Responsible for audit pricing discounts taken by marketing to ensure compliance with MARS controls.
