Requirements
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited institution or relevant work experience
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills (English) and demonstrate knowledge of proper grammar and terminology commonly used in business office environments to prepare business analyses

Responsibilities
  • provide assistance to attorneys in preparing legal documents
  • perform legal research and compile data from a variety of reference sources such as digests, encyclopedias, and practice manuals
  • perform document preparation (especially during discovery and production support) including reviewing, organizing, numbering, and indexing
  • capture documents on some sort of media for document conversion (magnetic, CD, microfilm)
  • convert documents to image (such as tiff or pdf) or to text
  • perform computer-assisted research on systems such as Lexis and Westlaw
  • address management concerns in accordance with agency policies
  • assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, events and other similar activities, as needed, in support of the training process
  • perform and tracking day-to-day training matters
  • in addition to the Legal Assistant Level I duties, the Legal Assistant Level requires formal training in legal research and methods, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience
  • support administrative, clerical, and research support for Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) program offices
  • Training Support, Print Production, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA),Operations Management, Facility & Contract Support, & 508 Compliance so that the ProSidian Consulting Engagement Team Member can provide administrative, clerical, and research support for FinCEN program offices
Desired Qualifications
  • Military Background a plus and or experience working in a Federal Government Environment
  • Experience in Federal Government Environment or related work experience
  • Experience with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and production processes
  • Strong experience with document management systems and e-discovery tools
  • Experience coordinating and scheduling meetings for high-level executives
  • Experience supporting training programs and training management
