Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional WordPress development experience, with agency or multi-client experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert-level Elementor experience with Theme Builder, templates, global widgets, responsive workflows, dynamic content, and system-based building.
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress fundamentals, including themes, plugins, the WordPress administration interface, troubleshooting, and content modeling.
  • Proficient front-end implementation skills in HTML and CSS, plus sufficient JavaScript knowledge to debug and integrate confidently.
  • Experience optimizing WordPress and Elementor sites for performance, including Core Web Vitals, caching, asset optimization, and image strategy.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to explain tradeoffs, timelines, and technical constraints clearly.
  • Must be based in Austin or willing to relocate because the hybrid schedule requires in-person work three days per week.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain WordPress websites and landing pages primarily using Elementor, including Theme Builder, templates, global widgets, reusable sections, and dynamic content.
  • Implement design comps as pixel-accurate, responsive pages with consistent spacing, typography, and visual treatment.
  • Create and enforce maintainable Elementor systems, including global styles, design tokens, template standards, and component reuse.
  • Configure and manage WordPress foundations, including theme settings, plugins, environments, user roles, backups, and site hygiene.
  • Use Advanced Custom Fields, custom post types, and taxonomies to support scalable content and dynamic page builds.
  • Troubleshoot complex Elementor and WordPress issues, including layout bugs, responsiveness problems, plugin conflicts, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Improve site performance through Core Web Vitals optimization, caching, image optimization, asset loading improvements, and reduction of Elementor bloat.
  • Implement marketing integrations such as forms, tracking, analytics, tag manager support, and customer relationship management or email-tool integrations.
  • Support quality assurance, staging-to-production releases, and documentation across multiple client sites.

  • Advanced Custom Fields and custom post types or taxonomies experience involving content modeling and dynamic Elementor builds.
  • Experience extending Elementor through custom widgets, hooks, or custom functionality.
