Requirements
  • High school graduation, or equivalent, and satisfactory completion of allied health training program and two years of ultrasound experience in a clinical setting
  • ARDMS registration required for experienced Sonographer, new graduates must obtain ARDMS registration within 6 months of new hire date
  • Current CPR certification
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk 1-3 hours, lift 50 lbs with good body mechanics, twist and bend frequently
  • Must be able to use both hands/wrists and perform work with extensive deviation, pinching and frequent fine motor skills
  • Far and near vision must be accurate at 20/20 with accurate depth perception, able to discriminate between red-green and blue-violet
  • Must hear whisper at 20 feet
Responsibilities

  • Completes mandatory education: Hospital-wide, Department-specific, Job-specific
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
  • Maintains Current CPR Certification
  • Practices aseptic techniques and infection control procedures.
  • Conducts visual checks of equipment prior to each use to ensure safe condition.
  • Introduces self to patient, confirms patient’s name, date of birth and exam to be done.
  • Prior to exam, on in-house patients check order in POM; private patient check for request form.
  • Explains procedure to the patient: Explains exam to adult; Explains exam to child with adult present
  • Performs routine abdominal, gallbladder, renal, aorta, and spleen exams: Adults; Adolescents; Children
  • Provides technical assistance to surgeons/radiologists for: Vacuum assisted breast biopsies; Liver biopsies; Paracentesis/Thoracentesis; Cyst aspirations; FNA Thyroid/Breast Biopsy
  • Performs routine pelvic ultrasounds on: Adults; Adolescents; Children
  • Performs obstetrical studies on adults and adolescents, to include: Single gestation; Multiple gestation; Transvaginal; Translabial
  • Assists obstetrician with amniocentesis for single and/or multiple gestation using Indigo Carmen Dye.
  • Performs small part studies on: Breast; Thyroid; Testicle
  • Operates ultrasound equipment with Doppler and Vascular Capabilities: Ultrasound Portable Machine; PVR Machine
  • Performs the following vascular studies: Venous studies; Vein mappings and graft surveillance; Doppler and color Doppler venous arterial studies; Carotid and subclavian arterial studies; Doppler upper and lower extremities; Pressure volume studies
  • Provides radiologists with preliminary interpretation and reviews each case with radiologists.
  • Sets up room and equipment appropriately.
  • Monitors patient’s condition during examinations.
  • Utilizes color printer camera for imaging and demonstrates ability to: Load film and cartridge; Trouble shoot errors
  • Performs check on department crash cart and defibrillator
  • Demonstrates competency in using digital PACs system for viewing, retrieving and merging images
  • Demonstrates ability to use/trouble shoot Teleradiology and RIS systems
  • Stocks and cleans work area.
  • Performs all office functions, to include RIS order entries and scheduling.
  • QA’s and verifies patients in the RIS.

(“TriSalus” or the “company”), an oncology company in the process of going public through a business combination transaction (the “Business Combination”) with MedTech Acquisition Corporation (Nasdaq: MTAC) (“MedTech” or “MTAC”), today announced that it has expanded the reach of its ongoing Pressure-Enabled Regional Immuno-Oncology™ (“PERIO™-01” and “PERIO™-02”) clinical program.In recent months TriSalus has opened five new PERIO™-01 (NCT04935229) clinical trial sites, at Stanford University Hospitals, University of California Los Angeles, University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Washington Medical Center and University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, in addition to five previously activated sites. The PERIO™-01 trial is studying an investigational drug, SD-101, delivered intravascularly by the TriNav® Infusion System (“TriNav®”) using the company’s proprietary Pressure-Enabled Drug Delivery™ (“PEDD™”) method of administration.
