Responsibilities

Support onsite dynamometer triage and test cell setup
Lead onsite part/engine teardown reviews at QEC
Provide guidance and direction to QEC leads for part/engine disposition
Support onsite vehicle triage for Program Fleet or Fast Feedback vehicles
Track validation status for engine phases and escalate concerns
Interact with software, controls, and calibration teams
Call, manage, and lead task force meetings
Prepare high quality presentations to report out on design or hardware issues
Work closely with customer PS engineering teams and design team
Gather and seek clarification of all information required for design study and engineering change notice work
Be fully responsible for the quality and schedule of all deliverables to customer
Communicate design issues and provide supporting information to customer
Document customer acceptance of satisfactory completion of design services
Provide updates and reports to customer on progress of assigned work
Close the loop with customer management on all issues
Explore new ways of value addition to customer

As (Quality Lead Engineer) you will be responsible for;

The main scope of this service is to provide onsite engineering support to manage technical aspects of an engine program.

Support onsite dynamometer triage, test cell setup, and dyno support to quickly and effectively troubleshoot and root cause test cell and engine issues.
Support onsite part failure resolution, root cause analysis, and task force leadership for issues observed in dyno cells, teardowns, builds, etc.
Lead onsite part/engine teardown reviews at QEC (Quality Engineering Center) to evaluate, document, and in some cases test/measure field returned parts. Field returned parts documentations required to be forwarded to global platform team.
Provide guidance and direction to QEC leads for part/engine disposition to enable next steps in part/engine root cause analysis.
Support onsite (CPG/PQRC/Test facility) vehicle triage for Program Fleet, or Fast Feedback (FFB) vehicles that have claimed issues to quickly and effectively troubleshoot and root cause issues.
Provide guidance and direction to propulsion system team members including transmission, driveline, calibration, and other teams with onsite real-time feedback.
Track validation status for engine phases and escalate any concerns with timing.
Interact with software, controls, and calibration teams to ensure deliverables are on time and escalate any issues.
Call, manage, and lead task force meetings to resolve open issues related to hardware with interactions between calibration and controls.
Prepare high quality presentations to report out on design or hardware issues, functional indicators, and other technical program topics.
Working closely with customer PS engineering teams and design team.
Gathering and seeking clarification of all information required to perform requested design study and engineering change notice work.
Will need to use all customer-based systems discussed in section 2.2 of this document. (NX1919, TeamCenter, B-Standard, Rocket, WEBCN)
Being fully responsible for the quality and schedule of all deliverables to customer for assigned projects.
Being fully responsible for communicating if design issues are found as well as providing any additional supporting information to customer.
Documenting customer acceptance of satisfactory completion of all requested design services.
Providing updates and reports to customer on progress of assigned work.
Closing the loop with customer management on all issues.
Exploring new ways of value addition to customer.

Qualifications;

Supplier must have demonstrated a wide range of technical expertise
Supplier must be able to lead resolution of technical Issues as they arise
Supplier must be able to provide value evaluations for different solution proposals
Supplier must have a working knowledge of customer NX and TeamCenter
Supplier must have a working knowledge of customer WebCN system.
Supplier must have access to BeStandard for engineering standards
Supplier to have been trained in customer NX and TeamCenter
