The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami invites applications for a tenure-track or tenure eligible faculty position as part of a multi-year hiring initiative in quantum science. Candidates with research agendas in areas of quantum computing, including simulation, algorithms, cryptography, or information theory, are especially encouraged to apply. The search is open as to rank and the successful candidate is expected to be appointed in the Department of Physics, Chemistry or Computer Science with a start date of August 15, 2025. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in one of these fields or a closely-related discipline. Faculty will be expected to develop/maintain an internationally recognized research program, participate in future hiring associated with the initiative, teach undergraduate and graduate classes, and participate actively in their department, the College, and the University.
