A master's degree in a specialized field plus a minimum of 5 year of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in the specialized field plus 10 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 15 years of specialized experience

Responsibilities

Support continuous delivery through planned capability releases
Develop implementation plan for continuous test capabilities
Manage quality gates
Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems
Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
Analyze or evaluate commercially available software

SMX is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Test Engineer to join our team as part of an effort to advise a major application modernization and migration program in the US Government. Additionally, this role will be the team lead of the on-site consulting team, which will range from 4 to 10 team members over the course of the program. Successful candidates have a broad-based technology background that will allow them to effectively advise and support the client in their application modernization journey, as well as team lead expertise.

This project supports the Defense Acquisition System Analysis (DASA) Data Engineering Services (DES) division of the Army. The role requires both on-site and remote work, with at least 3 days a week spent engaging the customer on customer site (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at Aberdeen Proving Ground).
