- Associate’s degree in Drafting/Design/Engineering Technology or equivalent job related experience (2 years job related experience equivalent to 1 year college)
- Minimum 12 years of Civil Design experience.
- 10+ years of experience creating Surfaces, Alignments, Pipe Networks, Profile Views, Profiles, Assemblies, Corridors, Automatic labels, Section Views, and Sections.
- Must have good working technical knowledge of other discipline design requirements and interfaces.
- Perform and prepare civil designs and modifications of industrial sites for one or multiple assigned projects.
- Generate complete sets of civil design drawings from Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through Issued for Construction (IFC) stages.
- Develop detailed Civil 3D models incorporating surfaces, pipe networks, and corridors to support accurate design visualization and analysis.
- Create multiple grading surfaces to achieve high-precision volume material takeoffs.
- Design, implement, and manage AutoCAD Civil 3D templates, code sets, and standards tailored to client specifications and project needs.
- Lead the end-to-end development of comprehensive civil design packages, ensuring alignment with project scope, technical standards, and client requirements.
- Create and integrate detailed 3D design models and engineering drawings across all project phases, coordinating inputs from multidisciplinary teams to maintain design integrity.
- Perform rigorous quality checks on 3D models and drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and full compliance with applicable civil design criteria, codes, and specifications.
- Generate precise grading, drainage, erosion control, paving, and roadway designs using Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D, adhering to established civil engineering standards and project-specific requirements.
- Optimize design workflows and modeling techniques to accelerate production timelines, maintain schedule adherence, and support efficient project delivery.
- Autodesk Civil 3DCertified Professional (ACP) in Civil 3D preferred.
- MicroStation, OpenRoads, and GeoPak are desirable.

Zachry Group awarded Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for NiSource's Combined Cycle Generation Project. SAN ANTONIO-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Zachry Group (Zachry) has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for NiSource Inc.'s Combined Cycle Generation Project, a major infrastructure project located near Wheatfield, Indiana. The facility will support NiSource's delivery of electricity to a third-party customer and includes two nominal 1,300-megawatt gas-fired combined cycle units in a 2 x 2 x 1 configuration. A subsidiary of NiSource Inc. will own and operate the facility. The EPC contract will be executed by a joint venture between Zachry Group and Quanta Services, Inc. (Quanta). Zachry will lead engineering, procurement, project management, construction planning, and commissioning, drawing on its five decades of experience designing and building over 100 gas-fired facilities totaling more than 60,000 megawatts. Quanta will contribute field-level leadership and craft workforce management through its operating companies. This collaborative approach is designed to enhance execution certainty, optimize labor resources, and deliver cost-effective, high-quality infrastructure.
