Responsibilities

Assembly, testing, trouble-shooting, service, and repair of process pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating process equipment
Troubleshoot and inspect pumps and other rotating equipment
Inspect parts and components, determine reusability, and provide service reports
Diagnose problems, recommend repairs, specify repair parts and labor for quotation
Assemble units according to manufacturer specifications, test repaired units, and align equipment assemblies
Perform physically demanding work in shop and field environments
Clean, organize, and maintain shop equipment
Participate in continuous improvement through training and development

Requirements

This person will be responsible for the assembly, testing, trouble-shooting, service and repair of a wide variety of process pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating process equipment. Applicant must have a good attitude, be capable of working under pressure, and handle daily changes in schedules and priorities.

·Trouble shoot & inspect pumps and other rotating equipment that are not operating properly using drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals and diagnostic equipment.

·Inspect parts and various components, determine if parts are re-useable/repairable and provide a complete written service report.

·Diagnose problems and recommend of repairs.

·Specify repair parts and labor for quotation by CSR’s.

·Assemble units according to manufacturer specifications & tolerances.

·Test repaired unit.

·Align equipment assemblies.

·Shop and field work will be required and may include physically demanding work in an outdoor environment.

·Clean, organize, and maintain Shop and Shop equipment.

·Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.

The qualified individual will have the following skills and experience:

· Mechanical pump or rotating equipment experience preferred.

· Vo-tech or additional technical training is a plus.

· Must possess good verbal and written communication skills

· Must be able to stand 95 to 100% of the workday.

· Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

· Valid driver’s license required.

· Must have ability to read and interpret schematics.
