Requirements
  • SW EPMs (Engineering Program Manager) leads the Engineering teams throughout the Product Development life cycle for new products and work closely with stakeholders from Engineering (Security, Platform, Cloud, Mobile, Business Applications) and Product Management
  • In partnership with Product Management, engage in product roadmap and planning activities. Align everyone to the roadmap: articulating and keeping the roadmap up to date (feature level)
  • Partner with engineering management to facilitate all aspects of projects: prioritize, schedule, track, proactively manage and communicate status of projects; manage dependencies and blockers
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of program/project management in software development, including tracking software delivery process using Agile tools and metrics
  • 4-6 years' experience leading Cloud technologies, Consumer Devices technology and/or EV/Automotive industry projects with aggressive schedules
  • Prior software engineer development and release experience
  • Experience leading the introduction of innovative technologies with a proven understanding of product development lifecycles
  • Ability to work efficiently with innovative technologies and industry trends
  • Excellent leadership skills to work seamlessly with various stakeholders (Engineering, Product Management, IT Business Applications, Customer Support,)
  • Strong experience as a project manager of multiple large and complex projects, having a broad knowledge of project and program management methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (ability to influence without authority)
  • Fluency in Agile/Scrum iterative project methods and processes, with some experience in Waterfall methodologies. Scrum/Agile certifications a plus. (e.g., Scrum Master or PMP (Project Management Professional))
  • Fluency with Agile project and documentation management tools, expertise in Confluence and JIRA tools strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication is key as you drive projects forward, prioritize work, facilitate the removal of obstacles, and escalate risks
  • Prior experience as a development engineer is a definite plus
  • Leadership - Proven success in leading and influencing cross functional teams of engineers
  • Innovative thinking - Ability to influence innovative and/or transformative projects and strives for continuous improvements
  • Analytical thinking - Ability to analyze data and utilize it for delivery projects on time with Quality and within budget

  • Results focused - Ability to organize and manage multiple, and at times competing priorities

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-domain engineering teams to ensure that project goals are met, and all stakeholders are satisfied as this role will lead efforts across teams representing multiple layers of the software stack as well as other cross-functional partners in areas such as human UX, hardware, firmware, and product management
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets
  • Develop and support project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Ensure that project goals and objectives are communicated to team members and other stakeholders
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure that project tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Monitor and measure project performance against project goals and objectives
  • Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, including coaching and mentoring
  • Responsible for daily project management through the life cycle of development, test, validation/Beta, and production release
  • Responsible for Quarterly planning for the engineering teams
  • Communicate regular project status, manage risk, and escalate to leadership as needed
  • Support agile methodologies - scrums and agile ceremony meetings, demos, and releases
  • Maintain master project Confluence page tying all aspects of the project together
