  • High school diploma, Certificate of G.E.D, or certificate of completion in an apprenticeship program in HVAC and refrigeration, or similar trade or technical program completion.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, interview and train new employees.
  • Work in the field with assigned technicians on a routine basis.
  • Hold monthly safety meetings and enforce safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Answer technical questions from field mechanics, engineering, PM personnel.
  • Conduct Site Safety Inspections (SSI's) on construction site.
  • Counsel technicians when either Customer relations issues arise or internal Company procedures have not been followed.
  • Balance workloads to keep appropriate skill level on jobs as needed.
  • Manage staffing and vacation requests to assure we fulfill project obligations.
  • Mentor, train and develop future supervisors (succession planning) to meet current and future business needs.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with different departments within ACCO.
  • Startup and mechanical functional testing of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing equipment.
  • Mechanical system commissioning and testing.
  • Plumbing system commissioning and testing.
  • Complete Startup and commissioning documentation.
  • Assist Warranty Supervisor with assigning technicians to warranty calls when the warranty technician is not available.
  • Review field technician startup reports and submit to admin staff.
  • Read and interpret Mechanical and plumbing prints, specifications and other construction contract documents.
  • Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures.
  • Collaboration with team members and other construction trades.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Confirm company QA/QC protocols are met.
  • Attend job site meeting and provide input to GC, PM and GF.
  • Implementation of Safety Department’s protocols.
  • Implementation of Acco policies and procedures.
  • Support System Operations General Manager with assessing project schedules and manpower requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by the System Operations General Manager.
