Requirements
  • A Master's degree is required.

Responsibilities
  • Assume 24-hour responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care on the unit.
  • Coordinate and control all nursing activities.
  • Assume administrative and managerial responsibilities on a 24-hour basis.
  • Monitor patient care to ensure delivery is consistent with hospital and nursing department policies, procedures, and standards, as well as New York State Department of Health, Joint Commission, and other accrediting agency standards.
