What you’ll do:
In this critical role within our Strategy & Operations team, you will work directly with our Director of Strategy and Operations to direct various operational priorities for our global Turnaround & Restructuring Services (“TRS”) community. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing presentations. Provide support for team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, market analysis, and competitor insights. Analyze data to identify key trends and opportunities. Work with the Strategy and Business Development team to understand how we look at client situations and evaluate potential targets.
- Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating and tracking the progress of various projects, including internal initiatives and client engagements. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Event Planning & Support: Assist in planning and executing team events, such as conferences and workshops. Coordinate logistics, prepare materials, and provide support during events.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data using tools such as Excel or data visualization software to identify trends and insights. Prepare data-driven reports and presentations.
- Contributions to Firm-wide Initiatives and Special Projects: Manage all day-to-day coordination and drive our community’s efforts to modernize our approach to our client work in conjunction with the Firm’s “Digitization” effort, ranging from ambitious developmental undertakings (e.g. new tool and platform development) to more practical elements (sharing of existing knowledge and capabilities), engaging with colleagues across multiple communities and functional areas. Assist with idea development and coordinate execution and delivery of special projects prioritized by AlixPartners leadership.
What you’ll need:

- Progress towards an undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance with a strong GPA required.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills

- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Builds relationships with clients and peers.
- Must be open to a hybrid work model and to living within commuting distance to the New York Alix office
Demonstrated track record of success in educational and professional experiences
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027 – the intern program will run from June through August of 2025
- Degree(s) in, Accounting or Finance is required. Minimum GPA of 3.3 is required
- Internship(s) with relevant experience in consulting, finance, professional services, business, or other analytically challenging roles preferred
The hourly range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is $35/hr.
