As an Investment Representative, you will be responsible for executing manual trades in collaboration with our Trade Desk, in addition to supporting the Client Success team. We want to deliver extraordinary experiences that meet our client’s on-demand expectations while being a compliance leader.
You will be asked to support our clients across all potential channels (Phone, Chat and Web) and flex into solving complicated client edge cases as required.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver an amazing client experience; no matter what. Build a foundation of investment, personal finance and stock trading knowledge. You will have to explain investment, personal finance and stock trading concepts in a simple and accessible way.
- Execute regular tasks for Clients including manual trades in collaboration with cross-functional partners across Wealthsimple.
- Identify operational improvements to improve productivity and efficiency for trading processes.
- Be a key part in monitoring, facilitating and improving operational processes and working with our back-office to deliver an exceptional service to our clients.
- Build training materials and information to share with other Client Success teams in the organization.
- Participate in strong feedback loops in a meaningful way as we launch new Product features.
- Bilingualism (French & English)
We are looking for people who:
- Industry Experience: 2 years or more of investment industry experience as an IR or similiar
- Want to make a difference. We are a small team effectively reshaping how people look at the industry. We need people who ’get it’ and want to play an integral part in helping us accomplish this mission
- Have extreme precision and attention to detail
- Are an excellent communicator and know how to explain complex concepts and work with a variety of people
- Are comfortable digging through data to find and analyze desired information
- Have great analytical and prioritization skills. You know how to balance what needs to be done with what’s possible to do. You understand the scope of an issue and its priority
- Embrace technology and the role it plays in financial services. Specifically, you have the flexibility to navigate multiple applications simultaneously to deliver unprecedented solutions
- Possess a passion, curiosity, and energy for finance + investing. You understand the ins and outs of the wealth management, trading, and more importantly - know how to explain these concepts simply
- Thrive in client-facing situations. At Wealthsimple, our client always come first, and we love the thrill of turning a client’s frustration into a great experience

- Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course (DFOL)
