Responsibilities

Work directly with the CEO as a thought partner
Develop strategy and conduct planning with cross-functional stakeholders
Build out early business functions and prepare processes to scale
Build revenue forecasts and analyze business performance
Support CEO with sales materials, investor updates, and fundraising
Drive special projects across various areas
Analyze opportunities, conduct research, and develop strategic plans
Operationalize revenue generating opportunities
Identify process issues and recommend solutions
Communicate data and strategy through presentations
Think of new ways to add value to the business
Collaborate across the organization and shape organizational culture

Role

We’re hiring a generalist to help us tackle our biggest challenges as we work towards a Series A raise. This is an incredible opportunity to have a massive impact and help define the strategy of an early stage startup disrupting an insanely large and critical industry.

This person is obsessed with early stage startups and building from the ground up. They have a high attention to detail while still being able to move fast. They’ll be expected to make an impact across all areas of the business, teaching themselves the skills needed to remove blockers and keep the business moving forward. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Work directly with the CEO (former leading salesperson at both Flexport and Uber) as a thought partner
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop our strategy and conduct quarterly/annual planning
Build out early business functions and prepare a process and playbook to scale them
Build revenue forecasts, analyze current business performance, and assess market opportunities
Support CEO with sales materials, investor updates, fundraising and go to market efforts
Drive special projects across Product, Operations, Growth, Go-to-Market and Recruiting
Analyze opportunities, conduct research, develop strategic plans for pricing and monetization
Operationalize and manage manual tests of potential revenue generating opportunities
Work cross-functionally to identify process issues and recommend solutions to improve, using data
Communicate data and strategy through well-built and easy to follow presentations
Constantly think of new ways to add value to the business (e.g. through partnerships, growth/product ideas, experiments, etc)
Collaborate across the organization (we’re a small, lean team) and help shape an organizational culture of feedback, ownership and excellence

We’re looking for someone who:

Has 3+ years of consulting/strategy and/or financial services (Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital) experience
Has 1-3 years in an operating role at a b2b tech startup (bonus points if at a seed stage)
Is an extremely organized “swiss army knife” generalist
Can engage in both big picture thinking and day-to-day execution
Is an exceptional writer and communicator
Is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can figure things out given high level direction
Thinks analytically and leverages data to make decisions
Is excited by the startup grind and bringing structure to chaos
Has no problem getting projects off the ground from 0 to 1
