Job Description
CREATE Research Project Manager (Part-Time 28 hrs/wk)
Join Project CREATE, a research project in the BYU School of Family Life! This longitudinal study has been in process for close to a decade and includes participants from across the country. As our project manager, you will manage the day-to-day details of the project, including training and supervising student research assistants and in nurturing relationships with the public participants. What you’ll do in this position:
- Oversee recruitment and retention of national samples
- Manage phone and email lists and supervise distribution of research incentives and all contact with participants
- Regularly update the project website
- Recruit, train, and supervise student research assistants in all research procedures, including managing schedules and addressing concerns with student performance
- Assist with data management and collection, including Qualtrics surveys and the IRB renewal process
- Organize annual writing retreats for the investigators over the study
- Oversee and manage the study budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, business, or related field.
- Self-starter
- Ability to foster excellent relationship skills
- Supervisory skills to manage both undergraduate and graduate students in sophisticated data gathering and analyses processes
- Organizational and social skills to keep teams motivated and working well together
- Excellent diplomacy skills
- Understanding of research methods and some knowledge of statistical software and database management
- Working knowledge of Qualtrics, Excel, Learning Suite, and Website management software
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree plus two years experience managing or participating in research-oriented endeavors

Pay Grade: 50
Typical Starting Pay: $24.50 to$31.75 an hour
