This is an onsite position in Cincinnati, Ohio supporting day shift working hours – a rotational schedule of four (4) ten-hour shifts per week, ranging across Mon-Sat 5:00am to 5:30pm, with an occasional on-call rotation.
Organizational Expectations:
As a Real Estate Services Group (RESG) Operations Engineer, you will maintain and operate complex mechanical and electrical (MEP) systems; electronics, data, and life-safety systems; and general trades in a large commercial building. You will perform demand and preventive maintenance; repair, installation, and building renovation to provide an efficient and safe work environment for employees, tenants, and users.
General Responsibilities:
Operates, maintains, and performs preventive maintenance, demand maintenance, installations, and renovations to the mechanical systems; electrical systems; plumbing system; electronics and data wiring systems; life-safety system; and the building premises.
When on shift, has sole responsibility for the critical building systems. Maintains and operates Building Automation Systems (BAS); Robotic Systems; and production and office equipment.
Performs general trades as related to construction and maintenance of a large commercial building.
Supports all Facilities projects as assigned.
Provides customer service by responding, troubleshooting, and taking corrective action to resolve customer requests and complaints.
Also provides coordination and guidance to consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Communicates complete and concise information on the status of systems and equipment to Facilities’ team members, contractors, and appropriate customers, both written and orally.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Adheres to the Bank’s attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.
Education and Experience:
Vocational or Technical training (HVAC technician, Refrigeration, Electrician, Electronics) and 5+ years of related work experience or
High School Diploma/ G.E.D. and 7+ years of related work experience
Professional license or certifications (HVAC related or Electrical)
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities specific to the job and/or function; including, but not limited to; knowledge of specific Microsoft Office tools and building software systems (BAS); problem solving and analytical skills; the ability to perform independent research; communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences; demonstrated multi-tasking ability to manage work and competing priorities.
Advanced Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
Takes a broad perspective to problems and identifies new, less obvious solutions. Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data.
Advanced Specialized operational/technical skills
Knowledge of materials, methods, procedures, and practices related to the operation of a large commercial building including building trades; a working understanding of building codes and systems; and the ability to interpret construction documents.
Advanced Written/Verbal Communication Skills
Must be able to communicate effectively on building operations and provide feedback to co-workers and management. Must be able to communicate and follow up with customers on work requests.
Advanced Customer Service Skills
The nature of the function is a service business line and, therefore, must exhibit excellent customer service skills by displaying a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, customers, and vendors.

Operations environment (such as Building Services): Employees in this position require physical capabilities such as lifting, climbing and crawling along with the ability to work with their hands. Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment weighing as much as 50 lbs. required. Employees must be able to operate equipment such as hand-trucks or carts to move heavier items. Extensive amounts of walking and standing can be required on a daily basis. Exposure to uncomfortable areas (such as crawl spaces) to make repairs or installations is possible. Exposure to climate elements (internal/external) will occur based upon task needs. Exposure to noise from various building equipment will also occur. A valid driver’s license is required.
Bank’s Ethics Rules and Drug Testing:
