George L. Pla opens day two of the 11th Annual CA Water Data Summit. George L. Pla, Founder and CEO of Cordoba, launched the second day of the 11th Annual CA Water Data Summit on August 20, 2026 with a forward-looking message about how data, technology, and technical excellence must converge to strengthen California's water systems. Speaking to an audience of water leaders, technologists, and policymakers at City Club Los Angeles, Pla emphasized the responsibility shared across the industry to modernize infrastructure and elevate water data as a strategic asset. In his remarks, Pla noted, "California's water future depends on our ability to combine real-time data with real-world execution. Technology can illuminate the path, but it's the engineering, the project delivery, and the commitment to communities that ultimately move the needle." Pla's role in opening the Summit reflects Cordoba's long-established presence as a trusted and influential voice in California's water industry. For more than four decades, the firm has helped shape the state's water landscape - not only through project delivery, but through its leadership in conversations around modernization, resilience, and data-driven infrastructure. Cordoba's technical capabilities - including civil engineering, program and construction management, digital project controls, and data-supported infrastructure delivery - align directly with the Summit's mission to advance water data innovation. The firm's experience across transportation, energy, and facilities further strengthens its ability to deliver integrated solutions for agencies navigating modernization, climate resilience, and regulatory demands.
