Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent academic experience is required.
  • At least 8–12 years of relevant experience in financial services, including compliance testing or monitoring, internal audit, bank or financial-services regulatory examination or supervision, operational or non-financial risk, or a comparable independent assurance, risk, or control function is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior, lead, or similarly responsible capacity conducting or overseeing risk-based reviews, audits, examinations, testing, control assessments, or other assurance activities is required.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and industry practices is required.
  • Experience preparing quality workpapers and reports for Senior Management is required.
  • Understanding of regulatory expectations for a testing team is required.
  • Strong analytical and oral and written communication skills are required.
  • The candidate must be goal-oriented.
  • The candidate must be able to work as a self-starter in a dynamic environment with limited supervision.
  • Employment eligibility to work in the United States is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the US Head of Testing in conducting a branch-wide risk analysis twice a year to identify areas of focus.
  • Assist the US Head of Testing in developing the annual Testing Plan and obtaining the appropriate Management approvals.
  • Coordinate and interact with a cross-functional team of stakeholders across various seniority levels.
  • Conduct testing reviews in accordance with the plan and approved testing methodology.
  • Identify and test controls, identify issues, and execute testing reviews with little or no supervision.
  • Provide timely status updates on activities to the US Head of Testing.
  • Be accountable for reviews performed and assist the US Head of Testing with drafting test reports.
  • Follow up on action plans resulting from testing reviews, track committed deadlines, and escalate delays.
  • Identify opportunities and propose continuous improvement ideas for the Testing function.
  • Assist in responding to internal and external requests, including Internal Audit and regulatory requests.
Desired Qualifications
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
