Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong customer service orientation is required.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
Responsibilities
  • Complete start-of-day processes, including powering equipment and uncovering the keratometer/autorefractor, visual field, and A-scan rooms as needed.
  • Room patients according to standard operating procedures and assist the physician during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic studies and treatments as ordered by the provider.
  • Process and assist the provider with requests, including medication refill requests and patient forms.
  • Handle patient and clinical messages.
  • Distribute, review, and teach patient education.
  • Prepare and process chart paperwork and ensure ordered tests have been performed and results are present.
  • Complete end-of-day processes according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with applicable policies and laws.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Participate in maintaining clinical supplies.
  • Perform other assigned, incidental, and related duties.
