Requirements
  • Understand the general concepts of modern software development and work closely with software engineers.
  • Work in a cloud-centric environment involving disparate, interconnected systems while ensuring their availability, reliability, and resiliency.
  • Enable teams to deliver value continuously through practices such as continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Build secure, compliant applications and defend against common vulnerabilities.
  • Work with software engineers to instrument applications and configure infrastructure for monitoring, metrics, alerting, logging, auditability, and compliance.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure as code and standardize deployment processes.
  • Experience working on cross-functional product, design, engineering, and operations teams in iterative delivery.
  • Align work approach with the company's core values.
  • All work must be conducted within the United States, excluding U.S. territories.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for employment eligibility.
  • Successfully complete a company background check.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure infrastructure that keep records systems reliable, secure, and releasable on demand.
  • Improve the developer experience in web-based environments such as Python, Java, and Node.js through automation, virtualization, and process improvement.
  • Advocate for and adhere to lean-agile engineering principles and practices, including simple design and automated testing.
  • Protect sensitive data by applying security and privacy best practices.
  • Conduct security audits and risk analyses, then plan and implement remediations.
  • Select and use appropriate tools, frameworks, languages, and technologies, with a preference for open-source solutions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including S3, Athena, SQS, Lambda, OpenSearch, and EKS, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
  • Data migration and extract, transform, and load experience.
  • Experience building and operating continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for cloud-native applications.
  • Experience delivering technology in government, regulated industries, or other public-benefit settings.
  • A track record of staying aligned and accountable on remote teams.
