  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Security and Risk Analysis, or Information Assurance is required.
  • Three to five years of previous Governance and Risk experience is required.
  • At least one of the following certifications is required, or must be obtained within the first 12 months: Certified Information Systems Security Professional, GIAC Security Essentials, GIAC Systems and Network Auditor, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Cloud Security Professional, Systems Security Certified Practitioner, Certified Authorization Professional, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional, or CSX Practitioner.
  • Experience working with assessment tools such as Qualys Policy Compliance and CIS-CAT.
  • Experience developing and using Qualys or other vulnerability-management platforms across multiple modules or areas, including Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance, Continuous Monitoring, Web Application Scanning, and Asset Management.
  • Experience leading security-awareness program development, including regular phishing-assessment campaigns and security-awareness campaigns using solution-provider and custom-developed tools or training.
  • Experience participating in aligning the security-awareness program with enterprise risks and measuring its impact on risk reduction.
  • Experience with a governance, risk, and compliance platform; knowledge of RSA Archer is a strong positive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working directly with technical teams and business stakeholders.

  • Manage enterprise-wide and focused risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments, including security-awareness, vulnerability, configuration, and third-party assessments.
  • Analyze and prioritize risk, vulnerability, and compliance findings and define remediation priorities using available data sources.
  • Partner with technology and business stakeholders to socialize and implement remediation plans.
  • Define and manage qualitative and quantitative metrics and reporting to measure remediation success across vulnerability, third-party, security-awareness, configuration, and asset-management programs.
  • Lead ongoing vulnerability-management processes, prepare vulnerability-remediation plans with IT and business stakeholders, track progress, and reduce vulnerability exposure.
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and operating control and compliance frameworks and security best practices based on ISO 27001/27002, NIST 800-30, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, COBIT, Critical Security Controls, and CIS Configuration Benchmarks.
  • Monitor compliance with CIS Benchmark security-configuration standards for servers, endpoints, software, and networking platforms.
  • Work with IT, development, and operations teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle and IT operations.
  • Lead or assist with vendor and third-party risk assessments.
  • Create and maintain documentation of security solutions, services, configurations, and processes.
  • Work with intrusion-detection, incident-response, and security-operations engineers to manage risk related to existing and emerging threats.
  • Collaborate with security engineers to analyze, process, integrate, communicate, and respond to threat intelligence.
  • Participate in or lead the development, improvement, and updating of security controls, policies, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver security-awareness training programs for employees.
  • Lead the development and operation of the security-awareness program to integrate security and risk management into the corporate culture.
  • Implement and maintain compliance and privacy controls and act as a liaison to internal and external audit teams as needed.
  • Provide escalation support for the Information Technology Help Desk as required.
  • Work alone or function effectively as part of a team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
