Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required/preferred.
  • A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in construction administration or project documentation is required.
  • Experience with an Engineer-in-Training certification is preferred.
  • NICET Level II or III certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Department of Transportation project documentation systems is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic document management platforms is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain project documentation including requests for information, submittals, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Track contractor submittals and shop drawings and coordinate review with the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration and the project team.
  • Maintain quantity tracking logs and assist with preparation of progress payment estimates.
  • Assist with preparation and documentation of change orders and force account work.
  • Maintain document control systems and electronic project files.
  • Prepare meeting minutes for progress meetings and coordination meetings.
  • Assist with preparation of reports required by the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration.
  • Support project staff with contract administration documentation and records management.
