Requirements
  • A bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain and logistics, or a related discipline, or one year of experience inspecting, validating, and controlling the quality of mechanical and/or electrical systems in construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in construction, especially in mission-critical environments such as data centers.
  • Experience with quality assurance and quality control procedures, including inspections, testing, and compliance verification.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and standards related to equipment installation.
  • Successful completion of a background check, including pre-employment drug screening.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States, including U.S. citizenship, permanent residence, or other valid work authorization.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends when required by data center construction and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to frequently manipulate, move, or grasp small parts, devices, or tools; remain stationary; navigate critical facilities, tight and confined spaces, and active construction sites; climb stairs and ladders; position oneself under or over equipment; and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Review design specifications and construction plans to ensure all quality and compliance requirements are identified and integrated.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of equipment to confirm compliance with project specifications before commissioning begins.
  • Perform on-site inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment to verify that materials, systems, and components meet required standards.
  • Conduct pre-installation checks and tests, documenting and correcting non-conformities before installation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and contractors to align supply chain and construction processes with quality assurance standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of inspections, tests, and quality reports, and communicate findings to the project team.
  • Implement and enforce relevant industry codes, regulations, and standards across all stages of the project.
  • Participate in quality audits and help identify potential risks or areas for improvement in project execution.
  • Inspect and validate generators, transformers, switchgear, medium-voltage gear, uninterruptible power supply systems, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning units, and building management systems.
  • Support data center construction and commissioning activities.
