- The candidate should have extensive experience creating web applications with HTML5, CSS, and modern JavaScript in a mobile-first context.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio, Handlebars.JS, and jQuery, and using these tools together to manipulate the DOM.
- Experience with SVG and WebFont usage.
- Experience with Handlebars.js, Angular.JS or other front-end focused client-side templating tools.
- Experience with modern CSS3, and frameworks such as Bootstrap.
- Experience with modern client-side development and design tools such as Gulp/Grunt or Bower.
- Experience with Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, and multi-tier development.
- Experience with jQuery and jQuery UI, and knowing when to use them versus out of the box SharePoint web parts.
- Ability to read and generate wireframes and storyboards before development starts.
- Ability to effectively organize and present large amounts of content to end users.
- Ability to create designs that work well on mobile using responsive web design.
- Ability to use text editors such as Visual Studio, Notepad++, VIM.
- Extensive experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with page prototyping with paper or mockup software.
- Creates User Experience (UX) standards across multiple public-facing and business partner online applications for both layout and interactivity.
- Writes maintainable, forward-thinking JavaScript and CSS across multiple websites and applications.
- Builds interfaces powered by REST Services that are mobile-first responsive.
- Leads User Experience Focus Groups for internal clients and business groups, creates personas, and ties this data into Functional Design Documents.
- Defines Information Architecture and Metadata for the most effective data-driven User Experience.
- Guides other designers on the team to follow site design standards with new state brand.
- Designs and creates interfaces for clients using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Adds interactivity to pages using jQuery, JavaScript and CSS – keeping page load and responsiveness in mind at all times.
- Maintains site branding and design standards across all pages.
- Builds site templates with partials and master pages.
- Clearly communicates status reports, in verbal and written form.
- Collaborates as a dedicated team member and demonstrates the ability to clearly communicate with other team members.
