Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting (or related field)
  • CPA with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience
  • Experience preparing monthly Management Accounts (inclusive of variance analysis)
  • Strong understanding of forecasting - Profit and Loss and Cash Flow. Extensive experience with Financial Systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • SaaS or Subscription revenue experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent understanding of revenue recognition accounting standards
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail. Proven analytical and strategic insight
  • Able to work unsupervised and a proven ability to meet established deadlines
Responsibilities
  • As a member of the Canadian Executive team, joint responsibility for the success of the Canadian business
  • Timely preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and Executive Board reports
  • Oversee business month end procedures, including performing detailed reviews of Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet
  • Work with our external accountants to ensure compliance with government filing requirements, including HST filings and corporate tax returns
  • Preparation of the Annual Budget and of rolling P&L and Cashflow forecasts
  • Management of Payroll
  • Management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Ensure financial controls effectively operate across the business
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and procedures
