Requirements
  • An engineering-school education or high-level training in operations research, information processing, statistical engineering, or econometrics.
  • Ideally, initial experience in optimization, big data, or data science through an internship or first job.
  • A strong level in applied mathematics and initial theoretical and practical experience in operations research.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and code versioning, or solid foundations in scripting languages such as Julia, Perl, JavaScript, and Bash or compiled languages such as C++ and Java, and/or experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of optimization solvers and practical experience using them in professional projects.
  • An interest in data and artificial intelligence topics, with the ability to develop skills rapidly in these areas.
  • Professional fluency in French and English.
Responsibilities
  • Develop artificial intelligence and operations research decision-support solutions by designing and implementing constrained optimization solutions and simulation models.
  • Model and solve business problems across different domains.
  • Develop explanatory and predictive decision-support models using supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, and quantitative diagnosis.
  • Apply algorithmic knowledge to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Contribute to the development and strengthening of the firm's offerings through training, working groups, and dissemination of internal and external materials.
  • Contribute to the firm's visibility through publications, including articles, studies, white papers, and press appearances, and represent the firm at professional clubs, trade shows, and events.
  • Participate in technology monitoring and research and development within the Operations Research laboratory and related laboratories.
  • Contribute to business development by helping define needs and participating in commercial activities.
  • Take responsibility rapidly for high-value client missions and internal research and development projects.
  • Support clients in identifying and exploiting opportunities related to data and artificial intelligence.

  • An interest in data and artificial intelligence topics and enthusiasm for supporting clients with these opportunities.
  • A desire to deepen problem-solving concepts involving integer linear programming, dynamic programming, heuristics, and metaheuristic development.

Sia acquires Kaiser Associates to launch global corporate strategy and M&A business line

Sia, a global management consulting group, has acquired Kaiser Associates, a US-based strategy consulting firm, to launch a dedicated Corporate Strategy, Private Equity and M&A business line spanning the US, UK, France, Middle East and Australia. Founded in 1981, Kaiser Associates brings 65 consultants and operates from Washington, D.C., New York and London. The firm specialises in go-to-market strategy, growth assessments and market landscaping for Fortune 500 executives and private equity funds. Kaiser Associates' leadership team, including Ali Cumber, Paul Mumma and Jon Meyerholz, will join Sia as partners, with Meyerholz heading the new business line as managing partner. The acquisition expands Sia's North American presence and strengthens its position in private equity advisory.
