Requirements
  • At least five years of experience working in commercial security systems or low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Expert knowledge of access control, closed-circuit television, and burglar/intrusion alarm system components.
  • Strong technical knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, physical security systems, and design principles.
  • Clear verbal and written communication and an organized working manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to stand for multiple hours and navigate job sites for design site walks.
  • Ability to use a computer for multiple hours at a time.
  • Ability to work in person from the Cypress, Texas office.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with no issues on the driving record.
Responsibilities
  • Develop site-specific designs for low-voltage electrical systems, including access control, closed-circuit television, and intrusion systems, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, layouts, and schematics that meet project requirements.
  • Perform site walks to assess jobs in real time and deliver accurate quotes.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand site conditions and tailor designs accordingly.
  • Provide product demonstrations, digital sales rooms, and walkthroughs through remote webinars and on-site presentations.
  • Engage with partners early in the project cycle to understand their needs and position solutions effectively.
  • Update tickets and support requests in the operational system to ensure timely preparation of quotes and designs.
  • Support Account Managers by providing technical expertise when analyzing customer requirements and project specifications during the quoting phase.
  • Support and assist with on-site demo system product deployments.
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure design intent and answer project implementation questions.
  • Assist the construction bid market team with pre-bid meeting attendance as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to use AutoCAD and PDF editing software such as Adobe Suite or Bluebeam Revu.
  • Experience with ConnectWise Manage or another project-management, ticket-based platform.
