Requirements
  • A university or college degree at the bachelor's level or greater.
  • Education and certification in Interior Design with 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience working on workplace transformation initiatives in a consulting capacity.
  • Experience managing customer relationships.
  • Experience leading a service line or department.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and other engagements for visioning, problem-solving, requirements gathering, and discovery.
  • Business development skills, including solution development, proposal writing, and pricing of services.
  • Ability to meet requirements for Federal Security Clearance.
  • Registered Interior Designer status with a recognized provincial interior design association affiliated with the Interior Designers of Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Provide business and delivery management for the assigned TFMS service category, including planning, resource management, financial management, business development, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with service category leads, the General Manager TFMS, Account General Managers, Project Delivery, and Professional Services partners to drive innovation, resolve issues, and identify business growth opportunities.
  • Participate in senior-level engagements on high-visibility projects.
  • Recruit talent and participate in new team member onboarding.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, guidance, training, and development support to team members.
  • Recommend compensation adjustments and manage all aspects of team performance.
  • Manage planning and delivery of assigned services, including resource planning, processes, tools, quality, and continuous improvement across regions and contracts.
  • Manage a team responsible for delivering TFMS services and support delivery and administrative issues.
  • Develop preliminary schedules, budgets, and work authorizations with other service line leads, and monitor project changes and progress.
  • Ensure service delivery follows documented processes, work instructions, policies, and delivery sub-processes, including document, change, scope, schedule, cost, quality, team, communications, risk, procurement, approval, and close-out management.
  • Identify continuous-improvement opportunities and manage changes required to meet client objectives and program evolution.
  • Act as a project lead for highly complex or high-visibility projects as required.
  • Consult with and maintain ongoing relationships with National Workplace Solutions NCOE representatives.
  • Lead engagements with senior client representatives and manage escalations with the General Manager TFMS.
  • Maintain and expand business relationships to meet client objectives.
  • Communicate proactively with clients, contractors, industry bodies, and stakeholders.
  • Develop internal relationships with other lines of business to align and support integrated service delivery.
  • Participate in monthly PSPC/BGIS-TFMS working group meetings.
  • Oversee regional project-status reporting and monthly financial reporting.
  • Participate in regional governance and program-planning meetings as required by each contract.
  • Ensure effective financial administration, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, labour absorption, financial reporting, pricing, and profit-and-loss management.
  • Ensure adherence to financial and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Review monthly reporting and support quarterly forecasting with the General Manager TFMS.
  • Manage national allocation of projects and resources for approved work authorizations in collaboration with Studio Leads.
  • Track planned versus actual resource utilization and manage changes affecting funding, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Support Studio and Team Leads with recruiting activities.
  • Consult with regional PSPC representatives to identify opportunities and manage the program of work within each contract.
  • Drive continued growth of TFMS services across all regions through relationship-management strategies.
  • Develop and manage a joint business-development strategy with TFMS service leads and Program Directors, and report its status and effectiveness.
  • Manage the work pipeline to maintain funding for TFMS resources across the country.

Veritas Capital to acquire facilities manager BGIS. July 17, 2026 | John McNulty Veritas Capital has agreed to acquire BGIS from CCMP Capital Advisors and Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo). BGIS runs and maintains buildings and facilities - offices, data centers, and government, healthcare, and industrial sites - for large public and private organizations, handling the engineering, operations, and technology that keep those properties running, a service known in the industry as technical integrated facilities management (IFM). The company oversees more than 65,000 facilities totaling over 620 million square feet globally with a team of more than 12,000. Gord Hicks continues as chief executive officer and will lead the business with his management team. CCMP and AIMCo had backed BGIS since 2019. Veritas Capital, a technology investor focused on companies operating at the intersection of technology and government, manages over $54 billion in assets.
