Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in digital communications, corporate communications, media relations, marketing, or a related field is required.
  • A two-year college, trade, or technical diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to create compelling content tailored to various audiences and channels.
  • Strong creative thinking and storytelling abilities are required, including the capacity to develop engaging communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills are required, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • An analytical mindset is required, including the ability to interpret engagement metrics, identify trends, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Knowledge of communications and marketing trends, emerging digital platforms, and industry best practices is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the development of engaging and innovative written copy, imagery, and video content for Ledcor’s digital communications channels, aligned with the organization’s brand voice and target audiences.
  • Manage content across digital platforms, including social media, website, advertising, and earned media opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications, business units, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and cohesive brand representation across all channels.
  • Engage with business units and leverage existing resources to maintain a strong and consistent content pipeline supporting ongoing communications initiatives.
  • Track project lifecycles with business units to identify and capitalize on milestone opportunities for digital storytelling and external promotion.
  • Write for The Globe, Ledcor’s bi-annual client magazine, featuring projects, business highlights, and community initiatives from across the enterprise.
  • Develop project features and business profiles in alignment with established editorial standards and messaging objectives for a client-focused audience.
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather accurate, timely information and coordinate content reviews and approvals across multiple business areas.
  • Source and prepare content, photos, and project information for website business stories and project profiles.
  • Ensure website content is accurate, consistent, aligned with brand standards, and approved through the appropriate review channels before publication.
  • Translate award wins and recognition opportunities into marketing and communications assets for the website, social media platforms, and corporate publications to support recruitment, brand awareness, and business development objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal communications teams, business units, and external partners to coordinate content review and approval processes.
  • Assist with media monitoring related to industry trends, planned announcements, emerging issues, and topics that may impact Ledcor’s reputation or business interests.
  • Support intake, information gathering, and coordination with Corporate Communications and business leaders as an initial point of contact for media inquiries when needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience developing content for digital platforms in a corporate or agency environment is considered an asset.
  • Media relations experience is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva is considered an asset.
  • Experience with digital advertising platforms such as Meta/Facebook Ads Manager is considered an asset.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
