  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 6-10 years of experience in policy, government affairs, lobbying or advocacy work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record building policy programs that achieve results
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Experience working with an app-based company and/or labor experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a state advocacy approach
  • Advocate on behalf of Shipt in state capitols and city halls
  • Advise on and influence policies and legislation
  • Manage relationships with trade associations and industry partners
  • Communicate the impact of proposed legislation/regulations
  • Collaborate with colleagues on Shipt's Government Affairs team
  • Establish strong relationships with key internal partners
  • Partner with senior leadership and key partners in legal, operations, and human resources
  • Advise on potential reputational implications and mitigate risk
  • Partner closely with the government affairs team at Target
  • Develop subject matter expertise on a wide range of policy issues
  • Provide company leaders with opportunities to develop relationships with elected officials
