Canvas Medical launches Studio, enabling clinicians to customise EMR workflows using natural language

Canvas Medical has launched Canvas Studio, a no-code interface that enables clinicians and staff to build custom electronic medical record workflows using natural language. The platform, powered by Claude Code and Canvas's software developer kit, was announced at the Canvas BUILD Summit in San Francisco. Studio allows healthcare teams to design and deploy EMR customisations without engineering expertise, reducing what traditionally required multi-year projects to just hours. Users can create automated workflows for clinical, operational and financial tasks, such as value-based care coding automation or automated patient follow-up based on survey results. The platform provides deep access to patient data, AI-assisted coding tools from Anthropic, and integration with large language models. Studio is available in beta from today, building on Canvas Medical's mission to accelerate everyday medicine through customisable healthcare technology.
