Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Manufacturing is required.
  • A demonstrated track record of communicating and training associates to achieve required quality standards.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Understanding of quality standards including ISO, ASM, and NQA.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor Quality Control Inspection activities while ensuring adherence to procedures and standards, and provide workload coverage as needed.
  • Perform and oversee inspections and ensure proper documentation, reporting, and timely completion.
  • Lead internal audits and support external audits with customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Review and approve inspection reports, test results, and nonconformance documentation.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions and quality alerts.
  • Perform quality audits on suppliers and subcontractors, including new supplier audits and quality system audits, and support suppliers in improving their quality programs.
  • Deliver training programs for business processes, lean manufacturing, and quality systems functions.
  • Maintain and improve quality procedures, standard work, and documentation systems.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes for internal and external nonconformances.
  • Participate in quality meetings and follow up on agreed action items and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards through training, documentation, development, and process improvements.
  • Promote Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including Gemba walks and Kaizen events.
  • Ensure that product guidelines, procedures, specifications, and reports are executed at the plant level.
  • Interpret test results, compare them with established specifications and control limits, and recommend whether data is appropriate for release.
  • Complete documentation supporting testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, and inventory forms.
  • Monitor and ensure clear rework and repair instructions are implemented to meet customer and compliance requirements.
  • Support the development of quality standards and communicate them to plant employees.
  • Perform plant audits in a timely manner to support on-time product delivery.
  • Report chronic plant-level quality issues and defects exceeding allowable specifications to the Quality Manager, Plant Manager, and/or Level III Inspector.
  • Review quality audit data and work with production associates to improve product and process controls.
  • Support incoming customer inspectors with documentation, paperwork, and questionnaires, and address audit nonconformances.
  • Support the Quality team in writing and maintaining quality procedures and developing standard work.
  • Enter nonconformances into the system, define resolution paths, perform root cause analysis when required, and develop timely resolutions while adhering to procedures and specifications.
  • Provide quality reference materials, including component standards, design folders, customer specifications, and defect guides.
  • Manage quality logs, reports, and key performance indicators to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry for audits and inspections.
  • Travel up to 10–15% for supplier audits and cross-site support.
  • Comply with company safety and operational guidelines.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned by the Quality Manager and/or Plant Manager.
Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Lean manufacturing is preferred.
  • Internal Audit Certification is preferred.
