Job Summary
This position is a full-time, office-based Analyst position in Austin, TX joining the WhiteWater Commercial Operations team. This position will play a key role in enhancing business operations by leveraging technology to build efficiencies. An Analyst in the Commercial Operations group is responsible for the identification, development and support of technological solutions to support daily operations. This includes managing Quorum Pipeline Transaction Management (QPTM) projects, developing data visualizations, designing data analytics pipelines, and providing technological support. This position will play a key role in company growth, ensuring we continue to provide the same level of service while scaling the business. This position reports directly to the Business Systems Manager.
Position Functions
- Project Management and Support
- Support pipeline operations and scheduling by leveraging existing system functionalities and available data.
- Diagnose issues with QPTM functionality and reporting tools
- Assist with QPTM application administrator functions, including configuration, security, and system maintenance.
- Manage large scale implementations of existing or new systems, coordinating efforts across multiple groups, ensuring a timely completion and smooth transition. Liaise with vendor partners to design, test, and implement business process changes, enhancements, and resolve issues.
- Assist users in troubleshooting application issues by working closely with business users.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all system changes and solutions, while supporting business users and ensuring industry knowledge of natural gas transportation.
- Data Analytics and Reporting
- Gather requirements for new features or enhancements from business users.
- Develop data driven visuals and models to increase scalability and facilitate improved business performance.
- Work closely with operations to understand the business processes and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
- Design and prototype data analytics pipelines that effectively summarize data for identification of trends and correlations.
- Leverage in-depth understanding of operations to help answer strategic business questions and ensure operations has the necessary tools to make informed decisions.
- Identify process inefficiencies within operations and recommend solutions and/or process changes.
- Development
- Build and manage integrations with other WhiteWater systems, ensuring seamless flow of information between systems.
- Participate in large IT projects, contribute to relevant change management activities, and ensure overall service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical area
- Working knowledge of: Excel VBA, Python, SQL, Transact/SQL; Python and SQL a must
- High proficiency in MS Office Excel, Outlook, Word
- Excellent problem solving, time management, analytical and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Communication and Teamwork skills required: Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and effectively collaborate with others to optimize team success
