Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in workers' compensation insurance in any capacity is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach, lead, influence, and motivate others are required.
  • Excellent time management skills are required.
  • Strong analytical ability is required to gather data, summarize reports, find solutions to problems, and prioritize work.
  • The ability to drive financial results on Client Services and Return to Wellness initiatives is required.
  • The ability to lead and instill confidence in others through professional credibility with all levels of the organization and with outside customers and agents is required.
  • Knowledge of software packages, including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Execute Client Services protocols for accounts under $100,000 in premium.
  • Send welcome emails to new insureds under $100,000 and include links to the onboarding experience and contact information for questions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for general questions, assist customers in obtaining answers, and direct them to the appropriate contact when needed.
  • Provide ideas and feedback about developing and refreshing materials, and work with Marketing to execute them.
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls, emails, and online inquiries from policyholders and agents.
  • Assist customers with registration, navigation, and troubleshooting of online service portals.
  • Provide general information about policy coverage, billing, payment options, audits, and claims processes.
  • Route complex issues to Claims, Underwriting, Billing, Audit, or Information Technology departments as appropriate.
  • Assist teams in analyzing account trends throughout the policy term and planning appropriate action steps to address or communicate them.
  • Work with the Manager and Senior Client Outcomes Specialist to serve as a point of contact for special reports supporting trending discussions.
  • Assist with claim system and website training for customers and agents.
  • Establish and maintain department codes for accounts.
  • Work with the Claim Support team to update claims.
  • Assist with rolling out new client-facing tools and materials.
  • Work with the policy support team to create account-specific panels and serve as the contact for related internal and external needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and self-service adoption.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and resolutions.
  • Attend Service Strategy Sessions to provide feedback and determine future service needs as a learning opportunity with the Senior Client Outcomes Specialist.
  • Execute Return to Wellness protocols and support their consistent execution.
  • Work with the Manager and Senior Client Outcomes Specialists as needed to facilitate resolution of Return to Wellness issues.
  • Track and report on Return to Wellness initiatives, results, and financial outcomes.
  • Work with the Manager and Senior Client Outcomes Specialists to facilitate team collaboration and communication.
  • Assist with problem and complaint resolution when necessary.
  • Communicate successes and accomplishments internally and externally.
  • Manage SharePoint utilization and maximization.
  • Interact with agency partners by attending agency visits and events, and collaborate regularly with the Marketing team.

TDC Group Acquires ProAssurance in 2026

AM Best has affirmed the ratings for The Doctors Company Insurance Group (TDC Group) following its planned acquisition of ProAssurance (PRA), announced on March 19, 2025. TDC Group retains its A (Excellent) Financial Strength Rating and 'a+' Long-Term Issuer Credit Ratings with a stable outlook. The acquisition, combining the second and fourth-largest medical professional liability insurers in the U.S., is expected to close in the first half of 2026, pending regulatory approval. ProAssurance will become 100% owned by TDC Group.
