Requirements
  • A high school diploma and four years of relevant program experience are required; a bachelor's degree may substitute for the required program experience.
  • The ability to perform the listed physical job functions is required, including frequent sitting, walking, fine motor movements, and indoor work.
  • The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 15 pounds unassisted is required.
  • The position requires corrected vision, hearing acuity, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to recognize objects at close and distant ranges.
Responsibilities
  • Develop recruitment materials and provide feedback on recruitment methods.
  • Conduct initial participant screening by describing study procedures and determining initial eligibility.
  • Schedule and track study participants after enrollment.
  • Administer questionnaires and collect detailed substance-use information.
  • Collect biological samples, including urine, and coordinate blood collection at the Clinical Neurobiology laboratory.
  • Perform electrocardiograms and obtain vital signs.
  • Enter data into the electronic database.
  • Maintain research records and source documentation.
  • Assist with regulatory binder maintenance and maintain human-subjects training.
  • Prepare medication orders and obtain physician signatures.
  • Collect and return study medications according to Investigational Drug Service policies.
  • Monitor and record participant medication adherence.
  • Coordinate medication-monitoring visits with the study physician assistant.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the study protocol.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of study procedures and suggest procedural changes when indicated.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, biology, social sciences, or health sciences is preferred.
