Technology Internships at NinjaTrader

We are seeking highly motivated college students with a passion for technology to join NinjaTrader’s summer internship program. This internship offers hands-on experience in software development, working closely with our experienced team on real-world projects that drive the #1 retail futures trading platform forward.

What you’ll do:

Collaborate with the engineering, product, design, data and QA team to design, develop, and maintain NinjaTrader’s web applications using variety of programming languages and frameworks including TypeScript/JavaScript, React, NextJS, Gatsby, Sanity and others
Assist in building and enhancing new product features, platforms and internal tooling from both front end and full stack perspectives
Work on complexity/time estimation, project tracking, agile/scrum methodologies, code observability, root cause analysis, unit testing and other core industry skills
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality, stability and performance of the applications
Contribute to the architecture and implementation of scalable and secure software solutions

What you’ll need:

Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong programming skills in HTML, CSS, and Typescript/Javascript
Knowledge of HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP, UDP, WS, GRPC, REST, SOAP, CSR, SSR, ISR, SSG, CMS, WASM and other web technologies and concepts
Desire to gain domain knowledge of the Futures trading industry
Understanding of SQL and No-SQL databases and scripting languages
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
