Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Seven years of experience in personnel security, insider threat programs, counterintelligence, or behavioral risk investigations, including cybersecurity equivalents.
  • Five years of experience in people management leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with U.S., United Kingdom, or Canadian Federal or Intelligence Community insider threat investigation methods, frameworks such as National Insider Threat Task Force standards, and legal frameworks surrounding user monitoring and privacy.
  • Experience with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual compliance, SEAD 3 reporting, continuous evaluation trigger resolution, or managing collateral clearance lifecycles such as Top Secret.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance or a regional equivalent for the United Kingdom and Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Hire, mentor, and lead a geographically dispersed team of multidisciplinary security professionals, insider threat analysts, technical investigators, and developers.
  • Own the end-to-end strategy for Google's global insider threat detection, personnel security vetting, and behavioral risk monitoring frameworks.
  • Oversee complex, highly sensitive technical investigations using advanced user behavioral analytics, forensics, and data-driven methods.
  • Partner with Google Legal, People Operations, Trust and Safety, and Core Developing to balance risk mitigation, employee privacy, and asset protection.
  • Serve as the primary security liaison for government-facing programs and ensure adherence to federal personnel security and insider threat standards.
  • Execute the end-to-end security clearance process for cleared Google Public Sector personnel.
  • Interface with the sponsoring United States Government customer to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual and Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Lead a global team of specialized investigators and system developers.
  • Lead a personnel security program and oversee the end-to-end clearance management process.
  • Serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer and primary subject matter expert for internal tracking and the Security Information Management System.
  • Interface with customers, maintain databases, and document security actions.
  • Brief C-suite leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Manage the technical relationship for major advertising clients and product partners.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales, and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for external clients and partners.
  • Oversee technical execution and business operations from concept design and testing through data analysis and support.
  • Build tools, automate products, oversee partnership operations, develop product strategy, and prioritize projects and resources.

  • Experience directing insider threat programs or leading technical teams within prominent intelligence or defense agencies.
  • Experience managing security operations within cloud-native environments.
  • Ability to leverage technical expertise to drive accountability and enhance processes within established teams.
  • Track record of using positional authority to implement significant structural or procedural changes.
