Senior – Systems AND Infrastructure Engineer

You will be supporting the Distributed and Clustered Compute Infrastructure and Server Services for ~12000 Stores & Clubs and ~500 Distribution Centers across the globe for Walmart. Your Support and Innovations will help millions of Customers and Partners to save money and live better.

The systems you build are made up of various applications and services that can be simple,

What You’ll bring

• At least 7 years of experience designing, implementing, and automating distributed system solutions.

• Extensive hands-on Linux administration experience in an enterprise production environment using Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS, Debian, and/or SuSe SLES.

• Advanced programming/scripting experience (Bash, Python, Go)

• Proven experience in automating processes

• Expertise in configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible)

• Proficiency in GIT or a similar version control system.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Proven experience in Virtualization/hypervisors (VMware, Nutanix, etc)

• Strong problem-solving, analytic, and decision-making skills

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and containers (Docker, etc) preferred

• In-depth server hardware knowledge (Lenovo, Dell, HP)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with ServiceNow & Jira ticketing system.

Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 3 years’experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization-related technologies.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization relatedtechnologies.

Preferred Qualifications...

Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area. and 1 Year of relevant experience in configuration management, developing automation for Provisioning and Orchestration, experience developing and managing service-level objectives (SLOs)/service level indicators (SLIs) for Infrastructure Service availability and performance.
