Overview:
We are looking for an Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant to play a critical role on the Finance team as we continue to scale. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment & has worked in the software industry (ideally SaaS).
Although the immediate need is for capacity and expertise in accounting, due to the nimble nature of the team and the projected growth of the organization, there is an opportunity to come in, prove yourself and take on more responsibility, e.g. exposure to FP&A and strategic planning.
Who you are:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven work experience (3-5 years) as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, Sr. Accountant or Finance Manager. Experience can be in public or private accounting or a combination of both. Software/SaaS industry experience a plus
- CPA (public accounting experience is a plus)
- Experience using Quickbooks and/or SAP a plus
- Comfort with autonomy; Willingness to engage in both strategic design and tactical implementation
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and uncertainty
- Ability to work independently, highly organized with strong prioritization skills
• Strong communication skills including experience in translating financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including finance and non-finance managers.
• Partnership building skills. You can build a strong partnership with multiple stakeholders
What you’ll do:
- You will report directly to the Senior Director, Finance
- You will have a high degree of autonomy over the accounting function. This will entail strategically crafting the function’s processes, technology, and resourcing to help Profitero scale (with the Sr. Director, Finance’s support!)
- Lead month-end, qtr-end, year-end close process with flux analysis
- Ensure accruals and month-end estimates are accurate and complete
- Work with external auditors and prepare audit workpapers as requested
- Prepare and review the reconciliation of various general ledger accounts
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and treasury
