Requirements
  • A minimum of a master's degree in Political Science from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Experience with college-level instruction is required.
  • The ability to effectively instruct and engage with students from diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities is required.
  • Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the United States as a citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or foreign national authorized to work without employer sponsorship.
  • Employment requires a criminal background check.
  • Applicants must provide three professional references, including one current or former supervisor.
Responsibilities
  • Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for students regarding specific course or series content and expectations.
  • Facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessing student performance.
Desired Qualifications
  • An earned doctorate in Political Science from an accredited college or university is preferred; ABD is considered.
  • A demonstrated commitment to reflective teaching practices is preferred.
  • Experience teaching in multiple modalities, such as in-person, online, and hybrid, is preferred.
