Requirements
  • Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control on construction sites, preferably on large civil infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to lead a team (Quality Engineers) and coordinate with site, factories, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Familiar with quality documentation such as Inspection and Test Plans, site records, testing documentation, quality control records.
  • Experience with non-conformance management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities on site.
  • Ability to perform site and factory inspections, ensure compliance with Client Employer's Requirements and Ferrovial Construction Quality Procedures.
  • Experience with digitalization of quality process and documentation; familiarity with tools for inspection sheets and quality reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the H7 Quality Lead, Project Quality Engineers and Project Team to ensure Client Employer’s Requirements and Ferrovial Construction Quality Procedures are followed.
  • Serve as primary on-site contact for all quality control/assurance aspects.
  • Assist project and site teams to implement Right First Time delivery.
  • Manage a team of 6 Quality Engineers.
  • Perform site visits to ensure project team implements Quality Controls.
  • Visit factories to check compliance of off-site manufactured products and report timely.
  • Engage with site engineers and subcontractors/suppliers to deliver elements Right First Time.
  • Conduct frequent inspections of construction elements to verify acceptance including test results, tolerances, materials, execution, visual inspections, etc.
  • Sign, review, and ensure Control records are produced and communicated timely.
  • Lead quality culture initiatives such as toolbox talks.
  • Lead site, factory, off-site inspections with external parties and close out snags and observations.
  • Support development of relevant Quality Controls such as Inspection and Test Plans and digitization of inspection sheets.
  • Support project in digitization of Quality process and implementation.
  • Review and maintain inspection plans and quality forms; ensure plans are accepted before work starts.
  • Coordinate quality documentation and implement with construction and departmental managers.
  • Support submittal of Health and Safety File and site records and production certification documents.
  • Promote Right First Time and continuous improvement on site.
  • Initiate, monitor and record corrective actions and control non-conformances; analyze trends and report.
  • Review, update and distribute Works Package Quality documents and testing records.
  • Ensure timely execution of benchmarking and sampling events with the Employer.
  • Maintain Quality documentation and registers and cooperate with Document Controllers.
  • Assist during audits and compile documentation to close them.
  • Facilitate weekly quality sessions with Work Packages team including suppliers.
  • Maintain focus on key quality issues on site.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in major infrastructure projects; familiarity with off-site manufacturing and digital quality tools; knowledge of Health and Safety File submittal is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in difficult conditions and long hours; flexibility to travel as required.
